Can you remember the first time you discovered Punk?
Was it reading about the Sex Pistols causing a PR meltdown on the Bill Grundy show, or hearing the Clash's 'White Riot'? Was it feeling really excited and energised when you heard The Damned's 'New Rose' for the first time? Was it seeing videos of women like Siouxsie, Nina, Ari, Gaye, Debbie and Patti take the stage in a way that only men had before? Was it seeing a Tartan and Stud Cladded, leathered and weathered, spitting and spiked Punk in the street? Was it seeing the Queens mouth pinned shut with a safety pin? The vivid, lurid even, Bollocks yellow and Pistols pink on a T-Shirt of a passerby? Was it seeing someone you respect stand up to someone you dislike? Was it seeing someone doing what they love against the odds? Was it a time that you just met someone who didn't give a f***? Or maybe they did?
