“I wrapped up my gear and was heading back to the car around sunset when I saw this woman washing clothes down by a stream. She looked up and I instinctively raised my camera, focused on her eyes and - click. I managed three more frames before she looked back down to continue her work. We threw out all the other posed portraits from that afternoon and this became the cover of the Geographic – a perfectly unplanned moment, in the right place, the right time, right lens and the right light.” From my recent #TedX Talk.
