The Patagonian wind is by all standards bi-polar. If you have felt it on a Fall day then you probably remember hearing the rumble from far away that eventually brings you to your knees to save your balance. Even when armed with trekking poles, this wind will put even the most sturdy of humans on the ground. More than once I spent my evenings trying to flush dirt & dust particles from my eyes and mouth. Its amazing how despite these humbling conditons we manage to spend every second we can outside staring up at the mountains, down a the rivers and ultimately staring in awe at the beauty that surrounds this place.
