See, I know how easy it is to hate people: Trump, hunters, rapists, dictators, bad drivers, people who take too long in public bathrooms, etc. Hating people is, for me, really easy and really seductive, especially when I’m horrified by their actions and/or beliefs(Trump, Jeff Sessions, etc). But I can’t find any of my favorite spiritual texts or traditions that encourage hate and judgement.. So moving forward I will very aggressively disagree with people, but I won’t indulge in hating them. There’s enough hate and judgement in the world, and I think maybe it’s time for me to not contribute to it. Just fyi.
