Over more than 270 years of history (from the Edo era), local Kabuki plays in Hinoemata village have been put on by villagers instead of professional actors. Every spring and autumn, Kabuki plays are dedicated to local Shinto shrines, and the Kabuki stage in the village is considered an important Tangible Folk Cultural Property.

The spectacle as seen from the audience is veiled in green and evokes a mysterious atmosphere.
