I’ve challenged the restaurants in our town to #stopsucking and give up plastic straws. It’s a simple move that can make a big difference. As a town that banned plastic bags 10 years ago, this should be a natural next step. Restaurants can simply do straws on demand now until they source other materials that will work for their customers like bamboo or steel or paper or even pasta. I’m going to be promoting my local favorites that commit or have committed already to #stopsucking. Thanks @danwoog @westportmoms @westportlifestyle for your support on this! Asked 20,000 people in my town. With the help of @lonelywhale @plasticfreejuly and local influencers we will promote places that make this big commitment to our Mother Earth.
