I’ve heard this from more people than I can count. What it actually said to me is that people see me as strong, impervious, robotic even. This is how it once was. Yes, I built an iron shell that protects me from ever being savaged the way I was when I was young. Hell if someone can survive what I have... no strangers words can even make a chink in this armor. But what I really want to hit on here is that the more I’ve softened my attitude and exterior, the more I let gratefulness rule my life, I’ve built a supportive beautiful loving army of friends here. Your love and care doesn’t go unnoticed, everyday it takes another brick from the wall I built around my broken heart. So in this era of online ugliness, and stranger shaming and children taking their lives... I want to thank you. YOU. For taking time to type supportive messages, for helping this Ig mommy clan flourish. It makes a difference. I hope this multiplies. Because we are all human after all.
