At the Gion Matsuri Festival! It’s one of the top three festivals in Japan. It’s been held in Kyoto since the Heian era. During this era, a terrible disease killed many people. The festival was started by people praying to God to cure the disease. It’s a summer festival. Yamahoko, grand historical floats, parade around streets and entertain many tourists from all over the world! The festival music called “Ohayashi’’ is played with traditional Japanese musical instruments. It reminds Kyotoites of that the hot summer is approaching.
仕事終わりで祇園祭へ。夜遅くまで屋台露店が開いていたので、かなり楽しめました?
