She was unsure of the world until her legs felt terra firma. I’ve literally never dropped her once and in the 8+ years I’ve had her and she has been IN water 1 time. I once let a car door slam on my leg to prevent her from being caught in it. I’ve swept her away from angry animals, cleared cobwebs from her beard and held her ears closed when the carbon monoxide detector was on the fritz. Her fears are unjustified and holding her back from her full aquatic potential and that is why, as a parent, I continue to attempt to assuage her worries about liquids. The LEAST she can do is trust me 10% of the time. I guess old fears die hard... not as hard as that Coyote I choked out that tried to attack her last week. (Also, I think some of you will recognize and appreciate my hat ??)
