About the project - “This project was about creating a space for me to work more freely, outside of the constraints that commercial and editorial work often pose. Tisser is the French for ‘to weave’ and the subject matter I have chosen is both organic and synthetic material where the purpose is to form a layer to protect. I wanted to strip back the process of making a perfect photograph and find something of value in the mistakes that were being made along the way. Seeing something special in the imperfections of the subject matter and the photographic process of making it. For this I used a range of film, polaroid and digital formats which I think over time will expose the longevity of these three different processes.”
