We are honored to announce that @specialolympics International has invited SPARC to direct four LIVE ART-inspired songs at the Special Olympics 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert this Saturday, July 21 in Chicago! Jason Mraz​ headlines our portion of the concert event, which is dedicated to empowerment and inclusion, and hopes to inspire an #InclusionRevolution.

SPARC’s Team in Chicago includes Brendan Kennedy​, Courtney Vollmer​, Abernathy Bland​, Erin Thomas-Foley​, Ryan Ripperton​, and Paul Major​. We are working with four groups of participants — After School Matters, Southside Occupational, and SOI’s Illinois and International Global Messengers — over this week to create a LIVE ART performance for the world to see. The students will rehearse while building relationships and understanding of one another using SPARC’s unique curriculum based on acceptance, compassion, and empathy.

Our performance will also include two founding LIVE ART students, Natalie Schwartz and Ajay Reddy, representing our LIVE ART family back home.

The concert will also feature Chance the Rapper, Usher, Francis & The Lights, Daya, Smokey Robinson, and O.A.R.
