Today I went back to visit Edwards AFB with my family. I spent part of my childhood growing up here and most importantly this place is where I first played organized basketball. In the gym is where I learned to shoot free throws and thanks to Jeff Lensch and Phil Pleasant I was given the fundamentals of the game that ultimately allowed me to receive a scholarship in college, and play 18 years in the NBA! Without people like Phil and Jeff in our communities we wouldn't realize or truest potential. So, whether you're a professional athlete or just working a 9 to 5, someone in your childhood growing up helped you get to where you are today. Go home and make sure you thank those people.
