#SpeakingInDance | “It’s like you’re in this pressure cooker and suddenly it releases,” said Londiwe Khoza, @lollykhoza, of this line dance set to Arabic music from #OhadNaharin’s “Naharin’s Virus,” at the @thejoycetheater through July 22. “You have your 8 or 10 counts to try to do all of this stuff with that feeling of” — she mouthed emphatically — “POW!” During those fleeting, frantic moments, each member of @batshevadancecompany, the Young Ensemble, from Israel, performs an improvisational solo. “You have the groove building up inside of you,” Londiwe said. “The predominant part of it is speed and finding form and other forces that move you.” Positioned next to her on the line is @evyatar_omessy, who said: “I totally get inspired by the people around me. Even if they are far away, you can still feel if someone is very tense.
