Nelson Mandela is a hero of mine for his legacy fighting for justice, equality and human rights. His unique courage and example of moral leadership is needed now more than ever. So when my friend Jesse Stagg asked me to do my first mural in Africa a few years back, I didn’t hesitate. Painting the huge mural in downtown Johannesburg was an inspiring experience for me, and I was encouraged by the amazing spirit of the people of South Africa, “The Rainbow Nation.” As we celebrate Mandela’s 100th Centenary, I’m honored to announce an upcoming print edition of the mural, in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund and in support of all Mandela’s Legacy organizations, as they pursue his vision of One Humanity, Equal and Free.
