And despite having just left Italy, I am over the moon to announce that I will be coming back very soon to the #75thVeniceFilmFestival, with my new movie “THE NIGHTINGALE” directed by Jennifer Kent having been entered in to competition.

This is the first image of the wonderful @aisling.franciosi, who plays Clare, to give you just a taster of what to expect. And watch this space as there will be more in the coming weeks.
I am so incredibly proud of this film, and the process behind making it. Never before have I been gifted the chance to go beyond my limitations. Never before have I been pushed to the utter depths of my emotions, and never before have I been this broken on a film set. Physically. Mentally. And Emotionally. But I also must confess that never before have I walked away from an experience with so much love and pride. I am so so grateful for having been given this opportunity. So grateful, and honoured.
So many memories. So many names to mention and thank, but really at the heart of this film is the incredible mind that conjured it. Our heart, and director. With her vision and the cast and crews willingness to go to places most people wouldn’t dare, this will be a real test to even the strongest of character.
