This technique has been my go-to for when my clients want to refresh their color but still remain light around their face. Perfect for those who still want to be light when their hair is up!

This one is all about foil placement! The first thing I do is take very thin slices (NOT weaves) around the hairline. After that I weave out the pieces I want lighter around her face. Once we get a little further back, I tease and weave the final sections for a more gradual, seamless fade! Notice how I didn’t lighten her anymore in the back?!? I wanted there to be more depth towards the back and more brightness in the front. ・
After processing, we color melted and toned. I always ask my clients where they part their hair to ensure that’s where I deposit toner first! We start with the lighter tone (6NWB) first and run it through her mids. Then deposit the darker tone (5N) only to the roots to blur where her highlights begin and end. Finally tone all over (8N) and you are golden, girl! ??? Are you willing to try this on your next client??
