Since August 2017 Rohingya women and girls have fled systematic sexual abuse in Myanmar, and sought refuge in Bangladesh. However, they are still at risk. The humanitarian community in Bangladesh was—and remains—ill-prepared to prioritize gender-based violence (GBV) as a lifesaving matter in its response.
