On view alongside #CeciliaVicua’s Disappeared Quipu are thirteen ancient Andean textiles selected by the artist from our #bkmartsofamericas collection. Prior to their install, some pieces like this Nasca poncho were required a little TLC. Here textile conservator Christine Giuntini works with small pieces of conservation fabric that, when attached, helped to stabilize deteriorating sections and visually unify areas of loss. #BKMConservation. ⠀
