Doing press with this amazing woman. Her drive, passion and determination for justice for her son is inspiring. Meet Ms Gwen Carr- The mother of Eric Garner who was choked and killed by police over allegedly selling lose cigarettes. Recently Mayor De Blasio of NYC said they’re bringing charges against 2 of the officers that were on scene when her unarmed son was MURDERED but Ms Carr wants all 6 of the accomplices (who stood around and did nothing) to be charged- as they should. Keep your foot on their necks Ms Gwen! She is also in the movie Jason’s Letter as herself and we have a pretty powerful scene as she tried to comfort my character who lost her son to a police shooting. Much respect to her and Samaria Rice (mother of Tamir Rice). They both will be at the screening tomorrow in Philadelphia and the Draught House at 6pm.
