Just north of Washington Square Park, the idyllic gated street of Washington Mews was constructed between 1829 & 1833 by Sailors Snug Harbor, the same organization that built Staten Island's cultural center. Once used to house horses for nearby residents, these buildings were converted into @nyuniversity offices and academic residences in 1949. Take a peek next time you're in our area!
