I couldn’t be prouder. ❤️? My flying monkey AKA boyfriend, just crossed the border of Zimbabwe and is heading to the finish line of the Icarus Trophy at Victoria falls.
Few months ago, Matt came up with the brilliant ( scary) idea of doing the Icarus Trophy ? a paramotor race in Africa. ( think paragliding with a tiny motor in your back)
Major challenge when you have never never ever flew with a paramotor in your life... !!!?!? ✨
In Matt’s mind, this was a detail, and next thing we knew, he was training in California and Italy for the race. His first flight was 3 months and 3 days ago.
Today after crossing South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe he is finishing one of most dangerous air race in the world. ✨
I will be leaving my ( new) beloved South African bush tomorrow and meet him in Zimbabwe where I will be able to squeeze him and be over the top proud of him, while he naps for 40 hours.... I love you monkey, you are the living proof that when we want something we can make it happen. I am impressed by your courage, determination, craziness and focus. ❤️@matt5000
