This is an adorable throwback photo that I’m using to jumpstart a conversation ?? I feel that we young people have so many conflicting influences on what love is! Our generation in particular are over indulged with quotes and poems and everything in between about what love and happiness is.. One day we hear “follow your HEART” the next day we here “the HEAD is smarter than the heart” one day we hear “fight for your dreams!” the next day we hear “learn when to move on to something more practical” one day we hear “love is supposed to be EASY” the next day we hear “love HURTS” one day we hear “be patient with the ones you love” the next day we hear “people don’t change really” and then all in the same breath when someone is encouraging us they say “you’re growing everyday it won’t always be this way” hahahaha. So, how is one to get a gauge of when they should continue on, or let something go? Obviously nothing is perfect because we all disappoint God everyday and he still loves us, and of course that can’t mean that we should take all the shit that everyone throws us right? I guess this is where boundaries come in. I’d just like to hear from y’all how you deal with ALLLLLL the conflicting ideas we get through the media and internet and elders everyday?
