When she was a little girl, my sister Stephanie would spin the globe, stop it with her finger in some random spot, then pull down a World Book Encyclopedia (old-school Google for you younguns) from the bookshelf and research the place where her finger had landed. She had a curiosity of other cultures and an appetite for adventure from the very first. Starting from the age of 15, she spent years traveling the world to satiate that hunger. Today, she received her Masters Degree in International Education, so that she can support the drive of others who crave connection to a world outside of their own immediate experience, who hope to find solutions to the problems we all face via immersion in a new context. Pride is an understatement for what I feel today. Congratulations, Sister. Can’t wait to see where your travels take you next. ❤️
