@tomjauncey with his signature shoe selfie over Christ The Redeemer during an incredible sunrise flight with @vertical.rio. “It was our last day in Rio, and @cory.s.martin, @matiasderada, and I anxiously woke up at 4 a.m. hoping our sunrise flight would happen. During the winter months, fog can descend on #RioDeJaneiro reducing the visibility and grounding all helicopters — we’d already had one flight canceled the day before! We got the call at 4:30 a.m. from our good friend @pedrofgonc that we were on. As the sun began to pop over the horizon, the fog descended on the city, creating the most ideal shooting conditions. The light then started to break across the sky as we circled Christ The Redeemer. It was the perfect moment to get my feet out and capture a unique perspective of this beautiful Brazilian monument.
