AMKK is honoured to have several works featured in the first retrospective of the Australian narrative-design studio; Broached Commissions at The National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
Design Storytellers: The Work of Broached Commissions, offers a rich journey into the ideas and inspiration behind the works, whilst examining the contemporary phenomena of collectable design-art realised through rich collaborations between contemporary designers, industry and craftspeople. The exhibition brings together the most celebrated pieces since the foundation of Broached Commissions in 2011 including Paludarium Shigeru (edition of 3) by Azuma Makoto made in 2012 for Broached East and a newly realised set of works which will be revealed at the gallery on August 17th. The exhibition will run until February 2019.
