Want to take a second to say that over the course of 2018 I have been really trying to limit my use of plastic. It seriously is crazy how much of it gets pushed at you from day to day. I purchased some goods from the @packagefreeshop and stole my bros canteen after he forgot it here in NY. I now have re-usable eco friendly silverware, chopsticks, and a straw that I carry with me everywhere I go. Yesterday I purchased to-go containers that I will add into my routine as well.
I am very far from where I want to end up in terms of living a more conscious, eco friendly, environmentally aware lifestyle but I am proud of how far I have come nonetheless. Recognizing the amount of waste you contribute is the first step.
I am holding a plastic to-go cup with my coffee in it because I already had my canteen filled... I felt like I took a step back when they handed me it and was conflicted because I didn’t want to waste the coffee.
All I can say is that it is a process.. I would love to hear your stories on how you’re trying to live a more eco-friendly, self-sustaining life style! Comment below if you have advice for me or want to share ???
