Lord Hutchinson of Lullington, Q.C., one of the most renowned criminal barristers of his generation, is best-known for defending the #publication of D. H. Lawrence's Lady Chatterley's Lover and paving the way for the freedom of the written word. His collection of #Bloomsbury Group works reflects this lifelong dedication to independent and creative thought, and the friendships forged along the way. The selection is led by Duncan #Grant’s early, avant-garde #Tents, purchased by his mother Mary #Hutchinson in 1917 on the recommendation of Clive Bell – on public view for the first time as part of our Made in Britain sale, opening in our #London galleries from Friday 14 September.
