My best attempt at dance ? In high school, my arms were not long enough to play the trombone, so my band teacher told me to join color guard. So I did. Our color guard team was... special. We came in second. To last. Or dead last in every competition. Because we sucked so bad, we weren’t afraid to try new things. New dance moves, new flag tricks. We got up (emotionally and physically because we got knocked down and hit by our own flags so many times) and kept on pushing. And we got... last, still ? But it taught me important life lessons. It’s ok to be a loser if you don’t give up, that losing is temporary, and that failure is the best teacher.
