Hey everyone! We made it! We officially moved across the country safely in one piece. Floyd drove the 16 footer moving truck and the little guy was a champ riding with him. I was the navigating car in front with a crazy GPS that took us through every backroad imaginable including two long narrow bridges over the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. It’s a good thing we’re seasoned road warriors and now we’re finally home starting to unpack and get settled.

How was everyone’s Labor Day weekend? What did you all do? Any good stories or moments to share?

We were on a mission from God (Blues Brothers reference if anyone caught that) so unfortunately I didn’t get many good photos on the way but I managed to sketch a special moment with my favorite new pencil, the Model 90 by @franklinchristoph and used my go-to smooth as butter 2b lead. The VN was my lifesaver during this trip as it held my writing instruments, moving truck receipts, hotel itinerary and little mementos along the way. And my Gatherer Bag by @pegandawl was the perfect keeper of our treasures and so durable for a heavy-duty trip along with a few new items for the wanderer from @galen_leather like the enamel coffee mug and pencil pouch. I love that all these things now hold memories and have weathered real life adventures. It makes them come to life and become part of the story unfolding, you know?
