Morning glow. I’ve gone on some adventures and been to some wild places, but at heart I’m just a creature of habit who gets really attached to relatively mundane places. I go back again and again (and again) to my favorite spots like this one, just a few miles from my home in Boulder. I find comfort in the familiarity of it all, and also excitement in seeing an old place in a new way. It’s never the same twice, if you look hard enough. So that’s just a really long-winded way of saying some obvious things you already know — “boring” stuff can be nice too. •
