My Grandfather on my Mother’s side passed away 42 years ago today. I never got to meet him but I was told he was a quiet, kind, unassuming and humble man. He was an engineer who loved sports and who married my Oma, an Olympic gymnast from Holland.
This date is a reminder to me that life is short, treasure the people in it.
