Riding with a big pack of close friends is really fun sometimes. Riding fast by myself at dusk is probably the most soul filling thing I can do alone. There is just enough light to ease my cautiousness. I don’t have to worry about anyone in front or behind me, just point and go, ala Kerouac. The way speed feels on my body. My eyes squint to maybe make my face more aerodynamic. I feel like the throttle is hooked to my bloodstream. The faster I go the more my heart races. My senses peak. The feeling is only heightened riding something I had to sweat and bleed to create. Nobody can feel that but me. It must be what heaven is.
