Been channeling Swami Sundaranand in the whirlwind these days. I took this pic when we visited him at his home in Gangotri on our way to Meru in 2011. Swami Sundaranand was the picture of calm, strength and wisdom for us. He’s also known as the “Clicking Baba” because he was a reknown photographer and mountaineer...so he totally got us. After some tea, he gave us his blessings and sent us on our way w a great mantra for the climb. None of us are Hindu but the intention was a fine one and we repeated the mantra throughout the climb. You never know what cosmic principles are at work out there...but we got up the climb so I’m chalking it up as being helpful. #calmiscontagious
