The Taming Nature Cuff

In 1982, Alex travelled to India where he spent a long, hot summer carving waxes and visiting local holy sites in the Kashmiri countryside. The heat was so extreme he was forced to use ice every 15 minutes to keep the wax from melting. His carvings from this period contain highly detailed motifs inspired by the linear, almost hieroglyphic depictions lining the walls of the Indian temples. This cuff features a procession of horses and farm animals being led by humans, the so-called "Taming of Nature". Available in Sterling Silver and Bronze.
