I spent a few minutes scrolling for a “good” Instagram pic for 9/11. Then I saw the @ニューヨーク・タイムズ piece and just used theirs. It’s not about the fact that one posts, it’s about us collectively remembering this indelible mark left on our nations mind, heart and soul. It changed everything and we are still reeling. It hurts to think about and to remember, but we must #neverforget ・・・
@jeenahmoon took these photos this morning at the National @911memorial before a ceremony marking the 17th anniversary of the #September11 terrorist attacks. The family members and loved ones of victims gathered under misty skies to honor and remember the legacies of those lost by reading their names aloud in a somber ritual repeated each year on this day in NYC. “It kept getting worse,” our reporter N.R. Kleinfeld wrote of the attacks in 2001. “The horror arrived in episodic bursts of chilling disbelief, signified first by trembling floors, sharp eruptions, cracked windows.
