Short #StopAdani update - a campaign to stop Indian #coalmining giant from building the southern hemisphere’s largest #coalmine in Queensland.
The good news is, the Queensland Government will be prosecute #Adani for releasing highly polluted water into the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. Thank you to the Envoronment Minister, Leanne Enoch, and the Premier, Annastacia Paluszczuk for holding Adani accountable. ?
On the not so good front, it emerged over the past few days that #Adani has secretly started drilling for QLD groundwater at the mine site before critical water plans are signed off.
As we know scientific consensus is almost certain that marine life and coral reefs will all be completely gone in only ..32.. years if we don’t immediately start carbon sequestration.
#Adani’s carbon output would be unspeakable.
