This rare work, which comes from a distinguished private collection, is the prime portrait of its type and is remarkable for its royal provenance, the superb quality of its draughtsmanship and its exceptional condition.⠀

Ahead of the auction, the portrait will go on public view for the first time at our Shanghai gallery (19–21 September), before travelling to New York (25– 30 October), Hong Kong (23–26 November) and London (1–6 December).⠀
