Fist pump to everyone who spoke out and postponed the vote on conservative Brett Kavanaugh- who stands accused of sexual assault- from becoming Supreme Court Justice! I don’t get political too often, so if you don’t like it, please feel free to stop reading. But I do strongly believe that if Brett Kavanaugh gets elected to the Supreme Court many of us will suffer. Especially women. We are at a point in history that has become so important. It’s mind blowing that after so many years women have fought to have respect and equality in this country, we could potentially be moving backward. Yet this is what’s happening today. I believe there’s a place for all of us in America. Both liberals and conservatives made this country what it is today. But the balance of power is going too far to the extreme right lately and I feel, without this precious balance, women’s rights will be picked away at, slowly and inexorably. We cannot stand by and allow extreme conservatives like Brett Kavanaugh get into positions of power where they can judge us. Good news is, we can make a difference and it doesn’t cost a penny.
