2012年発売の「スキンケアバームにミネラルピグメントを溶かし込んだだけ」というクリームファンデがパワーアップ。エイジングケア機能や保湿感は申し分なかったが、バームゆえの「時間が経った時の毛穴落ち感」が気になるということで改良したのだそう。

別にこれまでのも悪くなかったですよね？と思いながら使ってみると、完全に別物！と唸るほどの薄膜感。これほんとにシリコンフリー？と驚くこと必須、新たな肌が生まれた……！って感じの仕上がりが続きます。

なんでこの質感が叶ったのかをMiMC代表の北島さん（化学者でもあり、MiMC製品はすべて彼女による処方）に尋ねたことがあるのですが「特殊技術で粉砕抽出したプロポリスエキスの力と、他の成分とのバランスによって奇跡的にできた質感」という魔女のような答えしか得られませんでした。薄膜で崩れない、という最先端の仕上がりが肌にいいものだけでできているという安心感、マジでプライスレスです。

The Best of Organic, Light-Weighted Foundation Is HereBack in 2012, MiMC introduced a cream foundation that’s so simple it was essentially a face balm with natural mineral pigments. This fall, the cream foundation is coming back to us with newly added awesomeness. According to the brand, they decided to improve the formula because it didn’t live up to their high standards. It wasn’t the anti-aging property nor the moisturizing agents they had issues with. They thought the old formula caused the foundation to sink into pores, which was kind of inevitable, considering that it was a balm.
I tried the new version, thinking “the old one was perfectly fine, wasn’t it?”. Now I gotta say, the improved version is something completely different. It’s light-weighted and feels like wearing a brand new skin. I can’t believe it’s actually silicone-free.
I asked the founder, Ms. Kitajima(she’s also a chemist who’s in charge of all the MiMC products), how she managed to create this magical texture. “It’s a miraculous formula enabled by the perfect balance between specially milled and extracted propolis and the other ingredients” was all she said, so it’s basically a witchcraft. It’s a great feeling to know this light-weighted, long lasting high-tech foundation is made only with ingredients that are for sure good for our skin.
