Hard at work, or hardly working? ?

Hey everyone! Episode 2 of the podcast is now out. And so continue my posts of gratitude.
Quite like this installment of 2.0, my story is all about @シャノーラ・ハンプトン

It was 2011, and I was attending my first ever SAG conversations event. They showed an episode of @SHAMELESS and the guest speaker was Shanola, who talked about her journey as an actor, and getting her big break on the show. As someone who had just finished film school, I found her talk incredibly inspirational, and said to myself - I hope I get to work with her one day!
CUT TO: 2017. We were doing a table read of our latest piece - AMERICA 2.0, and guess who my casting director got for the role of Anna Rossi? I was beside myself. Was this really happening? After the table read, I told her the story, and she gave me a big hug.
The experience of working with Shanola since then has been a dream come true. She’s kind, incredibly astute and a very powerful actor - explosive when she needs to be, but also immensely restrained when it calls for it. Her range astounded me.

But all her fans (who adore her as V) already know that. What I also want to thank her for, is her generosity of spirit. She’s a true artist, and took a chance on me and my material. Shanola was the first person who said yes to America 2.0. She’s one of my favorite people in the world.
