Yesterday I attended a seminar about hand stripping. It is an art that I am slowly getting into and learning more about. I took a clients dog as a hands-on demo (Norwich). I learned that because I was not stripping enough of his coat out and often I made his coat blown which means it all is dead and has to come out. Wilson was stripped down to nothing but this will promote new growth with proper color and texture. With taking him down all the way it will be about 6 mo before he will be show ready. I love furthering my education on grooming and I am thankful to have great trusting clients who allow me to spend time outside of work with their loved pet. ?
