Words by @brinkleydavies This morning wasn’t easy, but sharing causes for wildlife is my greatest passion and being here seeing this in the flesh, and showing the world has always been the most powerful way to inspire change. ?
Our main purpose on this trip to India is to raise awareness about this. Many people aren’t aware the suffering Elephants go through for this, not just what you see here, but the isolation, the abuse, the breaking of their spirits, the years and years of emotional and physical abuse, all so people can get up to a temple and take photos riding one.
I sat down with the CEO/ Founders of @wildlifesos over dinner a few nights ago and they explained to me the challenges and the successes they have had not only for elephants but many other animals, in such a heavily populated country, their work and progress is phenomenal.
We are here to share their stories, to show and make clear to please not support this, #RefuseToRide elephants, everywhere.
They are not mindless machines, they feel every single thing we do, and in 2018, you can walk yourself up the temple ???‍♀️

Tomorrow we visit the sanctuary in Mathura, a centre that @wildlifesos has created where many elephants live that once lived sad lives, rescued from industries such as tourism, circuses and logging. I can’t wait to share tomorrow with you all.
