ANDREA ~ My father-in-law recently published a book titled “Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming.” It’s full of amazing research and real solutions that you and I can all so easily. For instance, the top third solution is to reduce food waste, so eat your leftovers! But one that really stuck with me was solution 6, Educating Girl’s. Their research found that educated women have greater opportunities to create economic growth and they also tend to have fewer pregnancies and healthier children, which obviously helps and already overpopulated earth. I was born and raised in the Philippines and the country has debated for years about reproductive health education. It drives me crazy and I wish so much that young women in my beloved homeland would have better opportunities to learn, which is why this topic is so important to me.
