The Kulung Rai culture is shamanistic and has a totally different way of looking at the world we live in. They know nothing of modern science and ecology but have a deep understanding and respect for the balance of life through a belief in forest spirits that exist on the steepness of these sub-Himalayan jungle slopes. Some of the ceremonies we took place in, meant to appease the spirits, also had the spirits controlling our cameras and electronics. Our barometers on our watches went haywire and our cameras spookily stopped working. Forces at play beyond our understanding for sure. #nepal #nepaliloveyou
