Sitting here in the plane after an absolutely amazing experience in Switzerland; I’m torn to leave such an incredible place, yet very grateful to have had such an experience ? In 2005 I discovered and attempted one of the most alluring boulders I have ever come across in my travels; a perfect pillar of Alpine granite, featured with subtle crack systems and a few rogue pockets ? Intriguing and aesthetic, I always wanted to return to try more, yet somehow never found myself standing underneath it again, until a few weeks ago, 13 years later ? Hazel Grace [8C] was first ascended by the young Ticinese master @giuliano_cameroni a few years ago, and after a couple weeks of intense effort I managed to stand on top ? A super complex first move followed by extremely technical climbing with terrible feet add to the uniqueness of this gem, and the sit-start, my OG vision, is gonna be absolutely ?!!! Perfect climbing, amazing crystals, the most generous friends, and splitter weather will forever remind me of why I need to be in these beautiful mountains every year; this type of inspiration fuels me for everything else in life ❤️ Patiently looking forward to returning after the snow melts, but first off there’s unfinished business back in Colorado to attend ?
