Did you know that the first marathon in Greece was run by Philippides bringing news of victory to Athens? Did you know that this victory gave way to perhaps the very first democracy? Did you know that Philippides died upon his arrival? Well, hopefully my first marathon has a better ending! Im doing this years NYC Marathon on November 4th on behalf of two great causes: Project ALS and in celebration of my fathers successful double lung transplant!! I’m excited, terrified and getting whipped into shape...
