A few weeks ago my Grandad Rodney jumped out of a plane for his 90th birthday! ?I’ve just realised I’ve been enjoying my social media break so much that I forgot to explain this story to you all ...so for anyone that is interested ! ??... last year on his 89th I found out that this had been a dream of his since being rejected for the army parachuters aged 17. So I promised him that we would take him for his big 9 0 ... pretty much everyone thought that it wouldn’t go ahead because after a number of heart attacks , strokes, and visits to the hospital he wasn’t exactly the prime candidate for a skydive! ? but the doctor miraculously signed him off & when his birthday came the sun shone in England to make way for a perfect jump day! I haven’t seen my grandad laugh and smile and even skip like that since I was a child ... when you have a dream to do something extraordinary nothing in the world should ever put that fire out, no matter the obstacles, set backs or how long it takes! I’m so proud of you Grandad - you proved everyone wrong ! Thank you for not popping your clogs on the way down - I would have felt very guilty! If there’s something you know in your core you want to do and you have the ability to make it happen now .. do it. Life is far too short! Hence why I’m going to Peru ?? #bucketlist ! Lastly a massive thank you to @goskydiveuk - you were so wonderfully patient and supportive ! X
