For its contribution to Salone del Mobile 2018, #LOEWE combined the advanced expertise of the house’s workshops with the work of smaller but equally knowledgeable ateliers specialised in a range of craft forms.
The landmark project took over a year to develop. To realise its mission, LOEWE set out to find artisans all over the world with whom to collaborate. Creative Director @jonathan.anderson and his team travelled to remote corners in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, exploring various types of artisanal textile production methods, focusing in particular on workshops that bridged tradition and modernity.
