Saturday night versus Sunday Morning... ???‍♀️ After yesterday’s @bodyconfidencelive seminar I have never felt like it was more important to burst this bubble of perfection that is often presented on social media. I myself am guilty of this at times- only putting forward the glossiest and best pictures of myself up on Instagram! But the fact is, the majority of the time- it’s really not me. Every so often, I get my hair and makeup done- put on a new outfit, feel shiny and hit the town with my pals. But day to day, 85% of the time I look like this little guy on the right: mismatched outfit, sliders even though it’s autumn because I hurt my toe so bad on a drunken pedal bike ride in dublin, no make up, tiny little boy hair, Del Boy coat and victor meldrew expression because i wasn’t expecting to be caught dressed like this heading for a fucking facial (excuse my language but it felt necessary and swearing doesn’t count when it’s funny or necessary! ??) The funny thing is, I’m the same person in both: warm, always late, passionate about puppies, loves gin, cares more about my family and friends than anything else, proud owner of boobs and a bum, hard worker, cheese enthusiast, loud laugher and aggressive supporter of other females. So why when I see the picture on the left did I smile and want to post it?! But when I seen the image on the right I wanted to cry/shout/laugh/call the pap a twat?!! Because unfortunately we’re defining ourselves by what we look like. And I’m over it. This is me, Vicky Pattison, in both the pics. And I like them both the same, ok?!! Because they don’t define me. I define me and today I choose to be honest, open and real. And love exactly who I am. Have a great Sunday everyone. I love you ? Ps THANKYOU @therapy_house1 for my lovely facial btw!! ☺️ Both pics are @stephenfarrell1975 aswell and he’s actually not that much of a twat ???
