Carolina Panthers defensive back Eric Reid took a knee during the playing of the National Anthem on Sunday, resuming his protest upon his return to the NFL. Reid, who had been a free agent since his contract with the San Francisco 49ers expired in March, signed a one-year contract with the Panthers two weeks ago. Former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, who was the first to take a knee, tweeted: "My Brother @E_Reid35, with @KSTiLLS and @iThinkIsee12, continue to take a knee against systemic oppression. They are unwavering in their conviction!" #nationalanthem #starspangledbanner #nfl
